BR (Bamboo) Wick

BR is a round braided wick made from 100% bamboo fibers, introduced by WEDO for eco-focused candle programs. Bamboo is a renewable raw material with a rapid growth profile, low water requirements, and no pesticide use. The round braid suits production teams evaluating a natural-fiber alternative within an existing wax system. BR is supplied in six designations, BR 1 through BR 6. Yields run from 670 to 110 yds./lb., with pool diameters from 2.4 to 3.9 inches. Standard burn testing is advised for each wax, vessel, and fragrance load before you commit a production run.

Glossary of Terms

Yield

Measured in yards of wick per pound in weight. The higher the yield, the smaller the wick and the flame and the resulting heat generated.

ROC

The rate of wax consumption in ounces by the wick in one hour. The higher the burn rate the more wax which is being consumed. Used to determine how well a wick and wax combination is performing.
